  • What medications may affect my eligibility for a permanent makeup treatment?

Taking certain medications can effect your skin and the way it heals. Taking many different medications at once will also make it harder to predict the effectiveness of a permanent make-up procedure (no, its not the same as a regular tattoo).

The following medications will prevent proper pigment retention and if you take any of these regularly, you should NOT get permanent makeup:

    • Triflusal (Disgren)

    • Clopidogrel (Plavix)

    • Prasugrel (Effient)

    • Ticagrelor (Brilinta)

    • Ticlopidine (Ticlid)

    • Cilostazol (Pletal)

    • Vorapaxar (Zontivity)

    • Dipyridamole (Persantine)

    • Coumadin

    • Pradaxia (Dabigatran)

    • Xarelto (Rivaroxaban)

    • Eliquis (Apixaban)

    • Savaysa (Edoxaban)

  • BROWS

NO water, cleansers, creams, makeup, lotions or pencil on the eyebrows for 10-14 days other than what is provided after your service.

    •  Expect slight swelling, thickness, and/or redness, for 1 – 2 days following the procedure.  You can begin applying healing ointment the day after treatment twice a day both in the morning and evening for the remaining 10 -12 days. When you take a shower try not to get the brows wet. If you get them slightly wet just pat them dry very gently with a clean towel.

    • Cleanse twice daily (AM/PM) with provided cleanser.

    • NO SWEATING until brows are fully healed. Sweat will cause the brows to lighten prematurely or fade away completely.

    • Avoid sleeping on your face for the first 10 days.

    • Change your pillow case the night of treatment.

    • Regular makeup can be worn immediately after your procedure, just not on the treated area until healed.  Absolutely  NOTHING on the brows..no makeup, lotions, pencil….etc. for 10 days. Avoid scrubbing them for 1 month.

    • The eyebrows will begin to soften up after a few days.

    • It is very common to have areas fade more so than others.  This is part of the healing process and will be treated at the recommended touch up appointment. Previously done eyebrows may take 1-3 treatments to achieve the desired results.

    • You must discontinue all brow/lash grow serums 30 days prior and 30 days after.

    • Please schedule procedure around any trips you may have planned as there is no swimming in any pools/bodies of water, no direct sun and no sweating for 2 weeks post treatment.

    Care Instructions

DO NOT PUT ANY MAKEUP ON THE BROWS UNTIL THEY ARE FULLY HEALED.

DO NOT use any Retin A or Glycolic Acids while healing.

DO NOT use peroxide or Neospirin on ANY areas.

DO NOT scrub or pick treated areas.

DO NOT expose area to sun or tanning beds for 3-4 weeks after procedure.

AVOID heavy sweating for the first 10 days.

AVOID  facials, swimming, and whirlpools, for at least 10-14 days.

AVOID chemical peels 30 days prior and post treatment

    LIP BLUSH

    • Expect moderate swelling, usually 1 – 2 days following the procedure. Applying ice for the first 2 hours is most important, and should be continued throughout the day. Keep moist with Aquaphor Healing Ointment or Petrolatum (which will be given to you)  for the next  7-10  days, and then switch to chapstick or lipstick with and SPF of 15 or greater, as the sun tends to fade lip color quickly.

    • After the procedure, the lips may appear very bright and saturated with color.  After 3 – 4 days, the color will become lighter as the lips start the shedding precess. It will appear that you have lost all of your color, however, when your lips have healed completely they  will gradually become darker. Two or three applications may be required to achieve the desired results. It is not uncommon to lose up to 70% of the color on the first application.

    Care Instructions

If you are having lip procedures and have ANY history of cold sores, fever blisters, or herpes simplex, you will be required to contact your physician to obtain the proper prescription medication to prevent such outbreaks. Many physicians prescribe Valtrex ( 12 capsules of 500 mg each). These can be taken 2x a day, two days before micropigmentation and four days after, or as the physician prescribes.

All permanent cosmetic procedures are a multi-session process. You are required to come back for at least one touch up visit before it can be determined that your work is complete. First touch up is between 2-4 months. All future touch up visits are scheduled between 12-18 month intervals.

Since delicate skin or sensitive areas may swell slightly or redden, some clients feel it best not to make any social plans for a day or two, following procedure.

DO NOT use any Retin A or Glycolic Acids while healing.

DO NOT use peroxide or Neospirin on ANY areas.

DO NOT scrub or pick treated areas.

AVOID  facials, swimming, and whirlpools, for at least 10-14 days.

AVOID chemical peels 30 days prior and post treatment.

YOU MUST BE ON AN ANTI-VIRAL 3 DAYS PRIOR TO APPT. AND DAYS AFTER (7 DAY SUPPLY) TO PREVENT BREAKOUTS OF COLDSORES/FEVER BLISTERS .
